The new line for London will be here soon.
London's hottest property locations on the much anticipated Elizabeth Line.
The Elizabeth line launches in December 2018 when the central tunnels under London open. The Elizabeth line will eventually stretch more than 60 miles from Reading and Heathrow in the west through central tunnels across to Shenfield and Abbey Wood in the east.
In May 2018 the first part of the line will start opening, servicing stations to and from Paddington and Heathrow.
The new railway - currently being built by Crossrail Ltd. - will stop at 41 accessible stations, 10 newly built and 30 newly upgraded, and is expected to serve around 200 million people each year.
As a result of this increased accessibility there will soon be a number of new hot office locations appearing on the line. At MBS Property we've already started to research the market and have begun looking at current average office pricing. Of course, as the line opens we expect to see these rates increase with demand, so we would advise businesses to start thinking about changing office location before it opens.
The Elizabeth line opens. Three separate services will operate:
Paddington to Abbey Wood
Paddington to Heathrow
Liverpool St. to Shenfield
Direct services operate Paddington to Shenfield and Paddington to Abbey Wood. Services from Paddington to Heathrow will continue to start and terminate in the National Rail station.
The Elizabeth line is fully open, with services running from Reading and Heathrow in the west through the central tunnels to Shenfield and Abbey Wood in the east.
